As a Video Producer, you will be an integral part of ICA’s fast-paced Studio, responsible for all end-to-end video production including videography, audio, motion graphics production, editing, colour correction and digital asset management. You will play a key collaborative role in the agency, working closely with the Creative and Studio departments and others to fulfil the requirements across all channels and bring client brief to life. This role will create dynamic digital content to support and engage our employees and external audiences.

You will bring strong communication and people skills, prioritizing and coordinating various elements across many integrated projects. You will contribute to the optimization of the department toward the common goal of achieving company-wide success.

Major Accountabilities

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Adept at end-to-end video production, from scripting / outlining, shooting, directing, editing, transcoding and resizing for social media platforms  
  • Align all digital content to company’s brand and corporate identity guidelines
  • Oversee video production of live, virtual and hybrid internal events
  • Collaborate with internal clients to create cross-company content
  • Use new and existing footage to cut on-brand videos, short-form clips, etc., that can be leveraged across multiple platforms
  • Maintain the growing library of footage and cataloguing all video and photography assets from project sites in the company’s digital asset management system
  • Help internal clients source video and photography assets upon request
  • Maintain compliance with brand guidelines
  • Edit commercials, online brand videos, case studies and pitch/sizzle videos
  • Adapt commercials, i.e., add supers, legal and graphics, and export to exact broadcast specifications
  • Repurpose and edit video content for use on multiple platforms
  • Prepare on-screen graphics
  • Shoot photo and video footage using Sony mirrorless camera systems
  • Travel to location shoots as necessary

Qualifications & Experience

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in film, media, radio & television arts, broadcast journalism, digital communications or a related field is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of related videography/photography and professional video editing experience
  • Highly skilled in video editing, evidenced by a strong online portfolio/reel
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of the following software: Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge and experience of After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve as well as current audio production tools would be an asset
  • Enthusiastic and proactive about keeping pace with current technologies, audio and visual techniques and best practices
  • Knowledge of basic colour correction and broadcast standards re: output of finished commercials (waveform and vectorscope)
  • Experience in a fast-paced production teamwork environment
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and bring solutions to the table
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and engaging video scripts
  • Demonstrated ability to shoot creative video, in both indoor and outdoor settings, mastering camera, audio, and lighting techniques and related equipment
  • Able to adapt and shift tasks to meet the needs of various production requests
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications
  • Perceptive relationship builder and a team-first attitude
  • Must have a valid Class G license
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs of video equipment (including camera, tripods, etc.)
  • Must be able to travel to Company job sites, as required
  • French language proficiency, photography skills, considered major assets
  • Advertising agency experience is an asset
