Senior Account Director, Brand & Digital/CRM

Purpose of Job

Identify strategic opportunities for the brand business with emphasis on both ATL, digital/social media and CRM focus. Serves as a primary, daily point of client contact and will manage focus on project timelines, resources, risks, issues, and activities to ensure that quality deliverables are created and completed on schedule as defined by Statements of Work. Establish effective working processes and to develop strong trust-based relationships with both the client and agency team members.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understands the client’s business in order to anticipate the client’s advertising and marketing needs to help grow the client/agency organically
  • Works independently and with the support of direct reports to develop and execute online and offline communications programs – guide day-to-day development of advertising and content activities
  • Manage senior agency and client communications with the support of the VP, GAD
  • Manage 3-4 direct reports: 2 Account Supervisors, 2 Account Executives
  • Responsible for ensuring all activities are executed according to the established budget and timelines – monitor of each department to ensure timelines, expectations are met
  • Understanding of the overall Automotive customer journey
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with account, strategy, media, creative, programmatic, analytics, studio and production team members
  • Ownership of project financial process including estimates prior to work beginning, invoices, project closures, etc, with the support of Business Administrator and direct reports
  • Manage all aspects of campaigns from briefing, to execution, legal reviews, program management and reporting
  • Liaise with client to ensure expectations are managed and met – marketing clients, digital/social media/CRM clients – build trust of key clients
  • Liaise with other Innocean offices, as well as other communication agencies the client may have as partners
  • Ensure contact reports are issued after each meeting (24 hours)
  • Understanding of campaign reporting – Google Analytics, Radian 6, Sysomos, Social Media Listening Tools, other web tracking software
  • Bring forth digital research trends to account team, creative, and clients as appropriate
  • Maintains confidentiality while working closely with client regarding all aspects of campaigns and projects
  • Follow all standard agency policies and procedures
  • Execute quality assurance checks across all steps through every project
  • Liaise with external vendors such as programmers, translators and maintain excellent relationships
  • Write Scope of Work documents for projects, RFPs, Quotes for Vendors
  • Identify opportunities within Digital, Social Media, emerging platforms, changes in the industry landscape,
  • Track Other Automotive Category Best Practices in ATL, Social Media, Digital Marketing

Skills and Behaviour:

  • Solid understanding of the online space; technical experience an asset
  • Natively, digital and experienced in all facets of the digital marketing space
  • Experience in Quality Assurance across devices, platforms, browsers
  • Liaise with experts in the areas of basic HTML, CMS Platforms such as WordPress, and QA software/sites such as Mantis and Basecamp and work with them to troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Experience in executing display, search, email programs and reporting
  • Proven Project Management experience, and experience managing the development of microsites
  • Native user of and proven experience in strategy with social and mobile platforms – mobile, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, apps, Pinterest, and any new emerging channels
  • Demonstrated creative and innovative thinker
  • Ability to multi- task, several projects at one time
  • Experience in Search Engine Optimization and knowledge in how to manipulate copy, meta tags, keywords etc.
  • Experience building and managing microsites, websites, both desktop and mobile with Responsive Design experience an asset
  • Experience with YouTube Channel Optimization
  • Can work with Social Media Content Management Team/Editorial Calendar Development & Management
  • Continually drive for results and highest quality standards
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Education and Experience:

  • 6 to 10 years’ experience in a client service role in an agency ideally with a focus on automotive
  • Post-secondary education in marketing/advertising an asset
  • Experience in online campaign development, management
  • Automotive account services category experience an asset
